Coffee with some Commissioners | Tuesday, March 19, 2024

March 19th 2024, Primary Election day will be the next Coffee with Some Commissioners

Location: Dodson's on Broadway, New Lexington 7:30 am

Jenna Cannon, MPH, BSN, RN Director of Nursing & Epidemiologist with the Perry County Health Department will be my featured speaker during Breakfast this month.  Jenna will be describing a current Health Department program that is becoming more vital with each day.

The Perry County Health Department is a registered Project DAWN  (Deaths Avoided With Naloxone) distribution program through the Ohio Department of Health. Project DAWN is Ohio’s network of opioid education and naloxone distribution. The Project DAWN Program was created by the Ohio Department of Health to increase awareness of overdose deaths and to educate others on the prevention measures and resources available to help decrease these tragedies. Free take-home naloxone kits and training are available at the health department. Individuals will receive training on recognizing the signs and symptoms of overdose, distinguishing between different types of overdoses, performing rescue breathing, calling emergency medical services, and administering intranasal naloxone.

Join us at Coffee with Some Commissioners, before or after you vote this coming March 19th.  Listen to Jenna regarding what could be, lifesaving information.

Coffee with Some Commissioners is open to everyone, featuring agencies and organizations around the County each month for an exchange of “positive”  information.

As always, we will take time for everyone in attendance to give updates.

No registration is required. Join me and have a great breakfast of your choice at Dodson’s as we support local business and enjoy some great information exchange.

Dodson's on Broadway. 7:30am March 19th 2024.

Remember: “You can’t buy happiness, but you can buy local!”
