Coffee with some Commissioners | Tuesday, August 27, 2024
August 27th 2024, will be the next Coffee with Some Commissioners
Location: Dodsons on Broadway, New Lexington 7:30 am
I have two great speakers joining us this month for what I am sure will be some great updates on a State and National level regarding Perry County.
Kelli Johnson, Southeast Ohio District Director for US Senator JD Vance, will be with us to explain the finer details of what our United State Senators office can do for us.
How they can help with: IRS, Medicare. VA benefits, passport issues, etc.
This is not, in any way, a discussion related to the 2024 Presidential Campaign. Kelli will not be talking about the campaign in any way and will not be taking questions/comments in that regard. I expect everyone to Respect that!
Kelli lives in Chillicothe with her husband, Ohio State Representative Mark Johnson
State Representative Mark Johnson will also be joining us on the 27th to address the group on the 27th.
Rep. Johnson is currently serving his second term as State Representative for the 92nd Ohio house district, which includes all of Hocking and Vinton Counties, southern Perry County, and Ross County from Chillicothe east.
Rep. Johnson formerly was the Business Manager for the Tri-State Building and Construction Trades Council. Prior to serving as Business Manager, he served as Construction Superintendent for a large Columbus-area contractor, where he remained for 17 years. Fun fact: Rep. Johnson was actually a working carpenter for the Vern Riffe Center, where he and his colleagues at the House now work.
Rep. Johnson resides in Ohio’s first capitol, Chillicothe. He appreciates the rich history of his hometown. He and his wife Kelli attend St. Mary’s church, where they both serve as co-chairs of the Social Concerns Committee. Rep. Johnson is also an active member of the Knights of Columbus, the First Capitol Rotary, and a lifelong Building Trades member. He also serves as a member of both the Chillicothe and Hocking County Chambers of Commerce. Rep. Johnson is a grandson of a West Virginia coal miner.
Coffee with Some Commissioners is open to everyone, featuring agencies and organizations around the County each month for an exchange of “positive” information.
As always, we will take time for everyone in attendance to give updates.
No RSVP is required. Join me and have a great breakfast at Dodson’s as we support a great local business and enjoy some great conversation.
