Perry County Free Legal Clinic | Tuesday, October 3, 2023

The Perry County Ohio Legal Clinic offers FREE legal advice to income eligible individuals who cannot afford private counsel. Services will be provided on a first come-first served basis. Individuals attending should bring all documentation and paperwork that relates to the issue in question. You must bring proof of income. The clinics are held the first Tuesday of each month (none in January and July). Sign in from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The August 1 through December 5 clinics are now held at the temporary Juvenile/Probate Court Location - 106 S. Main Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

3 Ohio Communities Receive $2.25 Million Toward Improvements to Local Wastewater Facilities | September 22, 2023

(COLUMBUS, Ohio) — Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and the Ohio Department of Development today announced three communities will receive a total of $2.25 million in Residential Public Infrastructure Grant funding for improvements to their wastewater treatment facilities. The Village of Junction City (Perry County) will receive $750,000 to assist with improvements to its wastewater treatment plant.

Red Cross facing a national blood shortage | September 11, 2023

Sept. 11, 2023 — The American Red Cross is experiencing a national blood shortage. Fewer donors than needed gave this summer, drawing down the national blood supply and reducing distributions of some of the most needed blood types to hospitals. Hurricane Idalia further strained the blood supply with blood drive cancellations and reduced blood and platelet donations in affected areas. Donors of all blood types are urgently needed, and there is an emergency need for platelet donors and type O blood donors to make an appointment to give now to ensure patients across the country continue to receive critical medical care.

(COLUMBUS, Ohio)—In honor of those killed in the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, Governor DeWine has ordered that all U.S. and Ohio flags be flown at half-staff upon all public buildings and grounds throughout the state on Patriot Day.
