Red Cross testing blood donations for COVID-19 antibodies | March 10, 2022
Central & Southern Ohio Region (March 10, 2022) — For a limited time, the American Red Cross has resumed testing all blood, platelet and plasma donations for COVID-19 antibodies. Plasma from routine donations that have high levels of COVID-19 antibodies may be used as convalescent plasma to help meet the needs of COVID-19 patients with weakened immune systems.

Ohio Department of Health shifts to weekly COVID-19 data reporting | March 10, 2022
(COLUMBUS - March 10, 2022) Ohio Department of Health (ODH) Director Bruce Vanderhoff, MD, MBA, announced today that the state of Ohio will transition from daily to weekly COVID-19 data reporting at coronavirus.ohio.gov beginning next week. Daily reporting of key indicators including case counts, hospitalizations, and vaccinations will continue through Sunday, March 13. Then, the reporting cadence will change to weekly beginning Thursday, March 17.

The Perry County Municipal Court Community Service Program offers a way for people convicted of a misdemeanor to make reparations to the community. The Community Service Program works with County, Township, Village, and non-profit organizations within Perry County. People convicted of a misdemeanor may be fined, required to do Community Service, or a combination of both. Required Community Service hours typically range from 20 to 80 hours per conviction.

This comes as the state is experiencing a delay in shipment of more than 800,000 testing kits amid a nationwide shortage in COVID-19 testing supplies.
