United Way provides funding for several programs in Perry County Ohio.

United for Kids – United Way found out that the federal Government was not paying for the food program anymore so we approached New Lexington Schools about partnering with them. Last year we contributed $18,000 and almost 7,000 meals for New Lexington Students so they wouldn’t go hungry over the weekend. We are partnering again in 2019.

 

EFSP – Emergency food and Shelter Program – The United Way of MPM submitted a grant on behalf of Perry County and Perry County was awarded over $20,000 for more food

Smiles for Life-A senior dental program that provides uninsured seniors over the age of 60 with dental care.

  • Funding Received:  2015/16  $38,800
  • Funding Received:  2016/17  $36,800
  • Funding Received:  2017/18  $43,021.44
  • Funding Received:  2018/19  $39,780
  • Funding Received:  2019/20  $35,360

The combined $212,808.94 will have provided 144 seniors with dental care by June 30, 2019.

  • Currently 26 clients on the waiting list
  • Average per client cost $1,477.84

Perry County Tobacco Cessation-A program that provides nicotine replacement product for anyone needing assistance to quit tobacco.

  • Funding Received:  2014/15-16 $3,729.10
  • Funding Received:  2016/17 totals $2,289.30
  • Funding Received:  2017/18 totals $2,682.05
  • Funding Received: 2018/19 totals $1,133.00

The combined total for Tobacco Cessation $9,833.45

 

Healthy Babies for Life-A program that provides a Safe Sleep Environment for babies under the age of 1 year.
