From Perry County Health Department folks! (will be sharing this on Facebook, etc. GREAT example!)
...note from Deborah Raney, Health Ed Director:
"Chad Seurkamp and I did a Health Department property/County Road 111 clean up on April 8, 2021. That's the road that runs in front of our building outside the village limits. We did both sides of the road to the railroad tracks. This is our trash collection!! 4 bags of this are recyclable! I'll be writing an article on our experience!
Just a note--McDonalds clear plastic beverage containers won the award for the most littered.
They are a number 5 so we can't recycle them either. Shame on McDonald's!!!
Lots of alcohol debris. Obviously people know the law on alcohol containers in vehicles. Someone who travels both directions on the road buys the small plastic bottles of cinnamon whiskey. Picked up lots of those bottles. Ick. No needles, only a few masks. "
