ALERT Perry County Dog Shelter ALERT

Their Facebook site has been illegally taken over by a third party.  They are advertising puppies and dogs for sale.  THIS IS A SCAM.  Before you perform any transactions involving cash or credit cards, call our Dog Warden at (740) 342-3795 to determine its legitimacy. 

We are working to correct the situation and will notify everyone in this same space when the issue is resolved.  In the meantime, we thank everyone for their patience.

Perry County is in the southeastern part of Ohio. Perry County was founded on December 26, 1817 and was the 55th county to be formed in Ohio. It was named for Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry, a hero of the War of 1812. New Lexington is the county seat and is roughly 55 miles southeast of Columbus. As of the 2020 census, the county population was 35,408.
