COVID-19 Update: PPE Delivery, Employee Face-Covering Exceptions, Criminal Justice Grants, Class of 2020 Graduation
April 29, 2020 Press Release: Governor DeWine announced today that the state of Ohio has shipped 4.1 million pieces of personal protective equipment (PPE) to local emergency management agencies (EMA) across Ohio. Although this is not the first shipment of PPE, this is the largest one-time distribution of PPE from the state of Ohio to the local EMAs in Ohio history.

Pre-registering for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) Opens April 24, 2020
Starting on Friday, April 24, Ohioans who are unemployed as a result of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic but who don’t qualify for regular unemployment benefits can begin pre-registering for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA), a new federal program that covers many more categories of workers, the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) announced today.

COVID-19 Information and Checklist for K-12 Schools
Governor Mike DeWine has closed all school buildings in Ohio, including preschool programs licensed by the Ohio Department of Education, through the end of the 2019-2020 school year. Schools were originally closed starting at the close of school on March 16 through May 1, however on April 20 Governor DeWine announced that school buildings are now closed through the end of the academic year. Internet- or computer-based schools should continue operations according to their regular calendars.
