Public Notice of Request for Qualifications

The Perry County Board of Commissioners (Board) has been awarded a $250,000.00 Ohio Development Services Agency Abandoned Gas Station Cleanup Grant. The Board will select a qualified environmental consulting firm to complete the investigation and remediation of a former gas station located at 100 Clark Street in the Village of New Straitsville. The property is located at the northwest corner of Clark Street and Main Street.

The Perry County Board of Commissioners (Board) has been awarded a $250,000.00 Ohio Development Services Agency Abandoned Gas Station Cleanup Grant. The Board will select a qualified environmental consulting firm to complete the investigation and remediation of a former gas station located at 100 Clark Street in the Village of New Straitsville. The property is located at the northwest corner of Clark Street and Main Street.

 

The property is the site of a vacant, one-story commercial building (approximately 800 square feet) with surface paving (approximately 2,000 square feet) and is believed to contain two underground storage tanks (USTs), each with a capacity of approximately 1,000 gallons. The actual number and size of the USTs on the property will have to be confirmed during the investigation.

 

The Board is expected to submit and achieve a Bureau of Underground Storage Tank Regulations (BUSTR) No Further Action (NFA) determination at project completion. The property is identified as BUSTR Facility ID: 64010000.

 

Submission Deadline: Firms are invited to submit a response (one electronic copy and three (3) paper copies) to this Request for Qualification to the address listed below by 9:00 am, on November 1, 2018.  Responses received after the due date/time shall not be considered.   Statements should be submitted to:

Responses to the RFQ shall be sent in a sealed envelope, labeled, “Perry County Abandoned Gas Station RFQ”

RFQ's will be opened November 1, 2018 at the Perry County Commissioners office at 9:30 am.

Questions about submissions can be directed by email only mzoller@buckeyehills.org. Questions must be submitted with the subject line reading Perry County Commissioners RFQ Question.” Questions must be submitted by 10:00 am Tuesday October 23, 2018. Disclosing any questions received by the Perry County Commissioners Project Manager to all respondents will be at the sole discretion of the Perry County Commissioners.

Perry County shall reserve the right to reject any or all Reponses to this request.
