Brenda Gleason, RSVP Volunteer Aqua Instructor:

We are so fortunate in Perry County to have RSVP to organize such programs as aqua aerobics.  The use of the pool at Mt. Al. has been great. The benefits of water aerobics is good for body, mind, and soul. It is a wonderful program for men and women.  Meeting new people is a blessing for all of us. Thank you RSVP.

Carolyn Hoskinson, RSVP Volunteer at Corning Food Pantry:

Greetings from the SE Perry food pantry in Corning.  We are a small pantry but feel we are meeting a big need.  We operate with six regular volunteers and many others who help when orders come in etc.  As with most pantries at the present time the need is greater and we are trying our best to keep up.  We have changed a couple of things trying to adapt to directions from our President and Governor.  It is going pretty smoothly and we want to thank everyone for their  understanding.  The pantry is able to keep operating because of grants and donations from individuals.  Without those we would have to close.  We also want to thank Perry County RSVP for all of their help!  Thanks to everyone who gives of their time and energy because of their concern for those in need.  We all have had needs at one time or another, and if you haven’t then thank God and just know that you could find yourself in that situation sometime.  Bless someone today by giving of yourself!

Ramona Johnston, RSVP Volunteer Aqua Instructor:

I had to take early retirement due to a disability. That year I also became an "empty nester." I WAS LOST. Fortunately a friend told me about RSVP that was trying to start up water aerobics for Perry County residents teaming with Mt Al . This became my salvation. I love the water and needed the water therapy so much. I have met so many wonderful people throughout this process and I am grateful for each and everyone of you and the friendships we have made. Good for the body and the soul. Stay well, my friends, we will get through this together. Hopefully soon, back in the pool🏊‍♀️.

Sally Francis, RSVP Volunteer Aqua Instructor:

The water aerobics classes have done so much for Perry County residents. Sore muscles are stretched and strengthened and creaky bones are soothed in the hot tub. And to add to that, new friendships are fostered and old acquaintances are continued. It's been a balm for the heart and soul as well a huge hug for the body.

Jane Beattie, RSVP Volunteer:

I have been working on face masks this week for those in need. Also will be picking up seed potatoes on Thursday April 2 and will have available at the New Lexington Food Pantry on Friday April 3 for anyone who wants them. Other seed will come second week of May. I am currently working on projects such as painting, ramps, and home repairs for those who have need. Projects will be done second week of July. Any questions please call 740-868-6591,  Thanks Jane Beattie, RSVP Volunteer.
